Has anyone stayed in this suite?

What is above it on deck 11?

It appears a small part of the pool bar is above, but then a huge empty block.

Is this a crew work facility?  Storage? Crew elevator? What?

I am concerned about the noise.

After 2+ years of cruise withdrawal, we finally have an opportunity to board and sail!

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I believe this may be storage area for pool equipment. If so, the suite could get some noise early morning when crew is arranging furniture for the day.

There is a review for 1008 on Explorer (similar ship) on SuiteGuru, which indicates noise issues.

Your travel agent should know what is a good location and what is not....perhaps you should have a talk with them and suggest you want something a little quieter?

I've been next door  in 1010 in Explorer -- same floorplan as Splendor.

There was no noise of chairs being moved on the pool deck ... that was my initial concern.

However you see there is an unmarked area above 1008 that is some kind of work area, and we occasionally heard what sounded like a cart being moved above us.  We are sensitive to noise and it did not bother us.

Vizsladog, if you had the opportunity to stay in suite 1010 again, would you? I'm asking because we have picked the same suite for a 14 day cruise on Splendor.

Back Roader, I might try another suite if available, but I would be very happy staying in 1010 again.

Thank you Vizsladog, we ended up booking 1010 when it was offered as an upgrade from our concierge suite on deck 7. It looks like a beautiful suite, hopefully there won't be too much noise coming from the pool deck above. I couldn't find much in the way of comments from pervious cruisers other than yourself and appreciate your answering.

Back Roader, yes it's a beautiful suite, we heard no noise from the deck, you'll enjoy it!
