can anyone let me know if the cruises are operating around the UK as normal ?

Define normal

 

Cruises have and continue to operate around the UK since May 2021, but are working under Covid restrictions, if that counts as normal for you.

I think if people can get into the UK under the health regulations it should be straight forward for them to embark,  People just need to comply with the UK Government Vaccination conditions as advised on the government website.  There is minimal health risk going from UK to UK.  Cruise lines like Princess do the tests for free at the quayside although you need tests to enter the UK but this looks likely to be dropped.
