The mouth has moved before and will move again. For that matter, so has Mile 0. For extra credit are river miles nautical miles or statue miles?

Because they are not at sea, they are in statute miles.  I've worked the River from SW Pass (20 mile BHP) to Cairo, IL (953 AHP), up to Baton Rouge (233 AHP) on ocean ships, and from NOLA to Cairo on river boats.
