WIFI Package Comparison 2022

Our phones are with Google Fi and I can normally access my emails and the net while in port, most times right from the comfort of our cabin!  So much better than in years past where I had to go into port and hunt down wifi access!

If we have alot of ports on our cruise I do not see the need to use the ship's internet, but thats just me.

Are you saying HIA gives each person their own access from their device, but the occupants can only get on one at a time? Or are you describing the previous way?

I looked that up last night on HAL’s HIA page last night for a cousin who is cruising with a friend. Both have HIA.

According to HAL, HIA Internet applies to 1st and 2nd guest in the cabin only. This means that you each get your own internet. You can both be on the internet at the same time, but with one device each. If there’s a third person, it would be back to the your turn , my turn bit.

I think this is the best answer.

It is "per stateroom" in the sense that if one person wants to use 2 devices but the other person doesn't want to, that's fine. It's "by the stateroom" and not tied to that person.

But it's also "per person" in that, because your HIA is charged twice (one for each guest), doesn't make sense for there to be only one simultaneous connection. There should be two simultaneous connections available. But often there is a confusion about which code and which account to use etc. Usually a trip to guest services should rectify this quickly.
