Slots and Bingo on the Bliss

Please forgive some really newbie questions.

My Bride and I are cruising on the Bliss to Alaska soon. We have been on the Bliss and Encore before but we have never set foot in the Casino. Last time we gambled was on nickle slots 39 years ago on our honeymoon while waiting for dinner in Reno, NV. Our upcoming cruse package includes "Casino Play: USD 25 promo play applied to guests 1 & 2. Slot machines only." Can someone please share how that works and what kind of slots we should expect? Are they the push button to play or do any of them use the old fashioned pull lever? What range of bets can we play - just $1 and up or are smaller bets allowed? When are we permitted to cash out - do we have to lose all of the $25 or can we play some and get the balance in OBC?

We also have "Bingo: USD 39 promo play applied to guests 1 & 2 for 2 sessions; 3 games/session." How many games/sessions will $39 get us? Is Bingo in the Casino also?

Thanks in advance for your gentle answers!

You can sit at a penny machine and literally spin the reels for a penny a throw. Or at a $100.00 slot for, you guessed it, a $100.00 a spin. And everything in between. All modern machines have a "spin button" . These let you get in more spins per minute, separating you from your money quicker! Most of them also still have a pull handle ( one armed bandit) but not all,

You can't cash out free play or promo play. However, if you're fortunate enough to have won a few bucks, you CAN cash that out. In my local casino I can't turn free play into rewards money. It's offered either/or. So not sure about turning into OBC, but don't think so.

Not sure how far $39.00 in bingo money will get two people. You'll probably be adding some of your own. My tip is to play on the last bingo day. Jackpots on the ships get progressively larger as the week goes on. Good Luck!

You just need to spin until you have gambled $25. If there is anything left after that, that is yours to cash out and keep if you want or continue playing. You don’t get OBC, you get cash. I do not know if they will put that on your onboard account, my guess is no.

We have a similar package through Costco-  How did it work for you?  Did you have to apply additional money for Bingo?  Thanks

I have a conflicting answer than the one provided by cruiserbear55. My recent experience with cruise ship casinos is that I found no penny slots for which you could wager a mere 1 cent. A typical minimum bet on a penny machine is from 25 cents (old Aristocrat machines, unlikely to be found on a cruise ship) or 25 cent denomination reel machines - minimum bet for one line, or for video machines, 30 cents (Quick Hits, probably will be a few of these) to $1per pull/click (newer Deluxe versions of Aristocrat and SG Digital machines. An exception is the original Dancing Drums and her SG Digital cousins allow an 8 cent bet, but this bet does not qualify progressives. If memory serves me correctly, to qualify for the Grand progressive, you must bet at least 88 cents; for the Major, 68 cents; for the Minor, 38 cents; and for the Mini, 18 cents. Unsolicited tip: Your $25 free play will probably last longer if you play all lines at least at minimum bet. It's a good day if you end up with $10-15 profit from that play. Good luck!
