econprofessor Posted March 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2022 Hi, We are on a B2B cruise out of Vancouver in August. As we live in Southern Oregon, we will be driving to Vancouver the night before the cruise. Any recommendations for a park, stay, and fly hotel? We have been to Vancouver many times (loved it), so we don't really feel the need to spend extra days there. We don't want to spend a fortune as we will be arriving into the Vancouver area in the late afternoon / early evening. Thank you!
Woody14 Posted March 23, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2022 Parking in Vancouver is stupid expensive especially in the downtown area where the port is. Most people have found the longterm lot at the airport is the best deal. You can get from the airport to downtown, for the port or if you are staying there, by flat rate taxi fair or by the skytrain (transit).
Glaciers Posted March 23, 2022 #3 Share Posted March 23, 2022 We’re doing the same thing in May and will be driving up. I posted this question on the Vancouver forum of Trip Advisor as well as here. We’ll be parking at the long term lot at the airport for $170 for two weeks and taking the sky train in from the Templeton station, that Woody mentioned, near the lot. We wanted to stay downtown. https://www.yvr.ca/en/passengers/parking-yvr One of the threads regarding this recently indicated that a poster found a hotel in Richmond for $395 that includes 14 nights of parking. Not sure of the hotel and it might have been on the Princess board.

There are discount codes you can get when you a discount code from TravelBestBets or some of the the others sources that will take another 10-20% off. Those come and go. I would google for travel best bets and YVR parking discount code Edited March 24, 2022 by em-sk

Sounds like Holiday Inn Express on Bridgeport Road, they have park and fly rates
econprofessor Posted March 29, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted March 29, 2022 Thank you. The rates are indeed lower by the airport. I found a Park N Fly at the Airport Sheraton. It includes 21 days free parking. Vikki
xlxo Posted March 30, 2022 #8 Share Posted March 30, 2022 Do inquire also about how secure the lot is and vehicle break-ins, especially when you are driving up with out of province license plates. Some will leave their vehicle with impound lots for the added security. Drake advertises offering cruise ship parking.
Straitlover Posted April 13, 2022 #9 Share Posted April 13, 2022 Another option would be to do two one-way car rentals if you don't want to worry about car security. I know in 2021 car rental rates were high, not sure if they have started coming down or not.
