funfetti Posted April 3, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2022 Does anyone have a recommendation for board books about cruise ships? Short pre-reader books for reading aloud at bedtime are ok too. I'd love to find one that covered a typical day on a cruise ship or all the cruise ship roles you might meet, rather than a book naming different types of boats from rowboats to aircraft carriers. Rare Essiesmom Posted April 4, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2022 I wouldn’t call this a recommendation, but Hans Mateboer is a retired captain of HAL ships who has written three childrens books about Peter the Cruise Ship. He also has two books of anecdotes of his sailing career, which I bought in Kindle edition and found very entertaining. EM

Our 4 year old granddaughters are experienced cruisers but they are joining us on our Alaska anniversary cruise and I think this will be perfect for them. For the OP, not a book but Disney has printable coloring pages that describes a cruise start to finish. https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/featured/little-ones/ download and print my Disney adventure cruise book. Can easily be adapted for any cruise 1

I have purchased them for my Grand-Nephews and were enjoyed. His two books of anecdotes make for entertaining reading for adults. His writing style makes for engaging reading.
