I know that you can do your online check in 14 days before the cruise, but what time can you start the process? At midnight? 8am? and according to what time zone?

You can pick your assigned time first and go back and fill in the rest of it at your convenience.

Midnight - Eastern time.  But Carnival's system seems to have issues around that time.  Either scheduled service updates or overloaded by everyone trying to check in.  Hopefully everything goes smoothly for you.

Also worth knowing that platinum and diamond members get to check in 2 days earlier. Suite guests also. So if you can't get the early boarding time you wanted, that will be why.
