How much longer? Posted May 12, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2022 I was wondering if anyone has experience upgrading their flights to business class when they are using NCL to book their flights. We would be flying from Boston to Copenhagen.
UKstages Posted May 12, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2022 no experience with NCL, but lots of experience with airline rules and upgrades. generally speaking, consolidator fares and group rates are not eligible for upgrades. however, if you're an elite member of the airline's frequent flyer program, some status upgrades could be granted at the airline's discretion and coupon upgrades may be available for redemption. rules vary; best to ask the airline. if you don't like the answer you get, HUACA. julig22 Posted May 12, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2022 What UKstages said is pretty much what you'll find, it depends on the airline. Delta seems to be the most flexible.
argyll1881 Posted May 13, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 13, 2022 I've booked a transatlantic in November and had them book me business class for the return.
Richjen Posted May 13, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 13, 2022 No, going through that problem right now! They claim no responsibility and once booked there are no changes. You might be able to upgrade to comfort class to actually get a seat but NCL booked our flights so late that all we have left are middle seats! LMKakaThing2 Posted May 13, 2022 #6 Share Posted May 13, 2022 I was able to do a paid "upgrade" for my seats from economy to first class on a domestic flight earlier this week on United. However, United wouldn't allow me to purchase an upgrade until I checked in for the flight.
joyy7403 Posted May 13, 2022 #7 Share Posted May 13, 2022 NCL booked our return flight from London but we weren’t sitting together on either flight. John went on line & upgraded us to comfort plus, or whatever it’s called on Delta, and we’re sitting together. It was an easy fix for us, however, we didn’t try to upgrade to business class.
