Travel from Disney World to Port

We are doing 3 days in Disney prior to our cruise-  Any suggestions on the best way to get from Disney to Port Cav?  I have seen shuttles but they seem to be from MCO to the port or select hotels (which we are not staying at).    Thanks!!

We did that in April.  We rented a car at the airport and retuned it near Port Canaveral.  They have a free shuttle to the port (I was so impressed with how quick and easy it was).  We had absolutely no wait from the time we dropped off the car, got right onto the shuttle, and off to the port immediately.  Considering all the traffic around Mardi Gras, I was prepared to have to wait, so it was a nice surprise.

as a solo, I used Mears Connect to go back to MCO and used Carnival buses to port.

We are doing the same as you - a few WDW days before boarding.

many times taking school groups, safe, reliable, reasonable, and helpful.

Decided to use them for our family trip in two weeks too.

Used to be a father/son run company, now just son...

We've used Mears Transportation.

FYI-  parking at most resort hotels are anywhere from $25 -$30 per night. So add an extra $75-$90 if you rent a car. 

 

You can always hire an Uber.

I suspect Uber/Lyft may be the best option but always makes me worry I won't be able to get one to go that far.
