Another Drinks on Us Everywhere (casino offer) question

Sorry for another post, but since my original question on Drinks on Us Everywhere had been answered, I didn’t think anyone would scroll to the bottom of the thread to see my new questions…

I called Carnival to confirm the Drinks on Us was showing up on my reservation. It is, but the woman said that only I would get DOU, since I was the casino player who got the offer. My sister, who is in my cabin, is out of luck. Is that right/typical?  The agent I spoke with didn’t seem super knowledgeable, so thought I’d double check with the experts here.

Also, will my sister be able to buy Cheers without me having to buy it also (since usually both people in a cabin have to buy Cheers)?  I looked at it online in our Cruise Manager, and buying it online would force both of us to buy it. Wondering if she alone can buy it if we buy onboard.

thanks!

It is not unusual to only be for the person with offer.

Your sister will be able to by onboard - go to customer service - but can't book online prior to the cruise.

Yes, if it is the Drinks EveryWhere, she can purchase onboard only.  Just DOU in the casino, requires both to purchase CHEERS

I was told this same thing, so I'm going to say yes, that seems to be the policy, if your travel partner does not have the same offer.  However, I have seen a lot of people recommend speaking with the casino host to have the offer extended to a cabin mate, but I believe that only works if both people have the same offer.  And even then, I don't think it's guaranteed.

I've never been offered Drinks Everywhere plus companion... just me. As another poster said... only on Elite sailings do both cruisers get Drinks Everywhere.

Possibly the second guest could get Drinks Everywhere if they have the offer as well. My mom always gets her Free Drinks in the casino when she sails with me... even though we use my offers. They just check her offers.

I never have my guest buy cheers... I just share my drink package with them. About 6 or 7 drinks is all I can do in a day. Servers on the Lido have no issue with me sharing the package... they take the order, "charge my card"  and give it to my companion. I'm a big tipper... that prolly is part of it.
