Looking for Beach or Snorkeling in Bonaire

We have used Woodwind Snorkeling several times and they are top notch.  It is a catamaran and the crew is excellent.  They carry, on board, mask with Rx in them if you need glasses.  Great for those who need glasses.

Our last trip we saw sea turtles and barracuda.  Crew- guest ratio is great and they prepare a wonderful lunch for you, on the trip back, plus some island drinks.

Here is a map with a list of beaches.  Chachacha Beach is actually at the southern end of the port area and it is possible to snorkel there.  Snorkeling is just OK there, but it is walking distance.  The best snorkeling would be from Klein Bonaire, but you would need to take the water taxi or do a private or ship sponsored excursion.  We have stayed on Island and cruised to Bonaire several times.  If you want to snorkel, the best excursion  IMHO is with Woodwind.

Bonaire's "beaches" are small and rocky.  You can walk down to Karel's beach bar from the ship (it's to the left) and catch their yellow water taxi over to Klein Bonaire to snorkel.  There is nothing on that island except sand and brush, but it's a drift snorkel site.  Or take a taxi to Spice beach club at Eden beach.  Bring water shoes.  Bonaire is full of rocks and beautiful fish.  There will also be vendors under tents with different offerings of tours if you don't find something you like from the ship.
