Emerald Questions

Hi,

I'll be on the Emerald in August for a British Isles Cruise.  I have a few questions about the ship.

 

Are the stateroom walls and the door magnetic?

 

Do the staterooms have USB ports?

 

If you have used the self service laundry, how was your experience?  Was it hard to get an empty machine?

 

Any other info on the Emerald would be greatly appreciated.

Yes walls are magnetic

Laundry availability depends on time of day, port day or sea day, length of cruise. 

We always did laundry on port days. A number of years ago the laundry rooms were cut in half in size.

The Emerald has “The Worst Internet at Sea”. Pretty well all Princess ships have deteriorated this way of late but the Emerald leads the pack, by a wide margin. Plan accordingly.

And yes, I fully understand the differences between GEO and MEO satellite constellations.
