WestJet

We flew WestJet coming home from London, just before the lockdown (March 2020), LGW-YYZ-YQB. Our first time crossing the Atlantic in economy in years (our flight there was on points in business), and it was quite pleasant.

We flew Halifax (or was it St Johns) to Dublin. It was fine.

But really, you have take each flight on its own.  They can be great one trip and mediocre the next.

Have flown many flights on Westjet-all over western Canada, Mexico, and Toronto.   It is an OK airline.  Nothing special.    Just booked it to Mexico in November...based on price and a nonstop from Calgary.

It was on time.  In flight service was fine.  No idea about the meal.  I probably passed on it if there was one.   We flew economy.

Anyone flown WestJet internationally (Canada to Europe) recently?

How was it? Did you leave on time?  How was service once in the air?

The 787 is excellent.  On par with Air Canada in all three classes.

They run some 737 from the east coast to Europe.  Not as nice as on the bigger aircraft..

I'm sure you've already either booked or selected another airline by now, but figured I'd throw in my two cents for anyone who finds this through a search. We flew Westjet from London to Toronto in June 2022 in business class. Everything ran smoothly, and the business class service and seating was as good as the major airlines that I've experienced. Would fly them again in a heartbeat for long haul flights. Of course, I've no idea what the experience is like in coach.
