sunlover2 Posted August 26, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2022 From what I have been reading it used to be you needed a covid test within 2 days prior to cruising...now I am also reading it has changed to 3 days prior cruise. Which one is it? Our cruise is going to Canada if that matters. Tried calling Royal but on hold for quite a long time. "Vaccinated guests must show a negative result for a PCR or antigen test taken no more than 2 days before boarding day. Kids age 5 to 11 who have been vaccinated may follow the testing protocols for vaccinated guests." "Guests 2 to 11 years of age who are not fully vaccinated must bring a negative test result for a COVID-19 antigen or PCR test taken within the 3 days before boarding day, regardless of the duration of their cruise. These guests will no longer be required to take a second test at the terminal."
cyntil8ing Posted August 26, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 26, 2022 (edited) The key word there is 'within'. Two days is within three days, so you may test 1, 2 or 3 days in advance. Also, those instructions -- one is for vaccinated and one is for not fully vaccinated. They do not conflict.
