Shuttle Bus Ports

My first cruise with MSC was all extremely convenient walk off ports berthed in the middle of the towns. The next one will require shuttle buses for one (perhaps 2) ports as the places of interest are much further away.

 

How well do MSC handle shuttle ports?
 

Are there massive queues,

do they do it by deck or ticket,

do you purchase tickets in advance or at the shuttle,

usual costs etc.

 

Any information much appreciated so we can plan ahead.

Which ports does your cruise go to?

In Marseille everybody had tickets in the cabin. No times given, just Show up. If one used the tickets one was charged.

Here is my experience in June.

You can find the ticket(s) with the daily program the night before. Fill in the ticket and bring it with you, it will be charged to your cabin.  

I forgot to bring the ticket with me, the staff provided me a ticket at the shuttle stand. 

The price was around 17 or 18 euro in Helsinki and Stockholm. 

Since I wanted to avoid the crowd, it was around 10am when I boarded the shuttle, it was quite empty.
