Text message to room stewards or housekeeping?

We were not given our stewards cell number .. nor did we ask for it. We left notes outside the door by the room number or on the bed, but usually saw our steward personally for any requests. I called housekeeping for some additional items once, received it within minutes. There are house phones all around the ship for your use. No need to text your steward, it’s probably not allowed anyway. Easy to call room service too.

@CDR2001

Texting a central help queue  takes a couple seconds

easily 1/2- 1/4 the time vs making a phone call

Once I experienced this at a hotel, I realized it’s almost always the best way

( where best = lowest time cost + certainty of resolution)

can I text message Housekeeping or room service With a question or to have something delivered to my room?

Our cabin steward provided his pager number, so technically we could have called him from anywhere on the ship and he would call us back at that number. However, we never found that necessary, as if we required something, when he was on duty, we walked up to alleyway to find him.

With respect to housekeeping or room service, you can call them from any phone throughout the ship. I don't believe the ship's phone system has text capability, so I'll suggest texting them is not possible.
