Going from Heathrow to Bath, Bath to Southampton, which car company to hire? Hotel Info?

We will be flying into the Heathrow airport a day before our cruise starts. Would like to visit Bath. Thinking of hiring a car transfer for the 2 of us. We are flying to Heathrow airport from an overnight flight from Canada, so would not consider taking the train or coach after that. Could anyone suggest a reasonable car transfer company that we can hire to take us from Heathrow airport to a hotel in Bath. And the next day from Bath to Southampton to start our cruise.

Any reasonable clean hotels in Bath that is within walking distance to visit the major sites in Bath you can recommend? 

What are the must see in Bath?

If you particularly want the same car service for both legs, you'd need to make it a service based in the Bath region.

Bath doesn't get too any cruise ships 😉. so that means Cruise Critic isn't your best source.

to me at my age (!) this sounds like a lot of hard work especially after a night flight.  just a suggestion, you might consider transferring direct to Southampton and then spending your half day free visiting the new forest and maybe Beaulieu abbey which are very close by.   (or Winchester, just as beautiful as Bath and with even more history). The Southampton Holiday Inn is  right on the harbour and walking distance from the cruise terminals and walking distance to the city centre and the interesting places in Southampton.

Parents in law lived in bath for a while. A little history but for me id go to windsor castle just outside london, 20 mins from Heathrow, have a look around then head to southampton the following day.

The train from Bath to Southampton is very easy and inexpensive, takes about ninety minutes. Quite possibly quicker than driving.

What have you decided to do? I do agree you may be too tired to do it & there lots of lovely things to do not to far from Southampton.
