Sailing this weekend and most in my group are also avoiding Cedar Grove parking and are opting to park at the Airport and Uber over.

My experience is that the entrance will be monitored, blocked off, and they will not allow you to park in that parking garage for the cruise. It would be so convenient being it is right across the street.

Eager to hear how parking at the Norfolk airport works. We are on the October 23 cruise. Have never used Uber but have used taxis. Looks like one parks, goes to terminal, catches a ride (about $25 one way?), then same for return. Any new experiences welcome, including if someone parked at the recommended Cedar lot.

Parking at ORF (Norfolk International airport) is currently $11 a day, they just finished a modern expanded garage (and raised the price a dollar). No issue parking there if not flying (nothing links or asks about your flight, pull a ticket when you enter and use it to exit a week later). From the garage head east through baggage claim and out to where the cabs and Ubers pickup/drop off.  That is by far the "safest" parking lot to leave a car (however, really nowhere near downtown and the cruise terminal).  It is unfortunate that the city and contractor did such a poor job this spring with the security (and response to issues/car damage) .... there are threads detailing those issues. As a Hampton Roads local, we are hoping Norfolk has solved the issues and gets better reports this fall .... improving the cruise experience from Norfolk has the opportunity it increase the cruise ships here which would be good for the city.
