RedmondCruiser Posted March 4, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2006 Someone on another board suggested that I ask for TrentS on this board for advice. I had reservations at the Marriott Marina for an overnight on April 15th. Now the hotel has changed names to the Ft Lauderdale Grand. Called them and they have never heard of me nor my confirmation number. They are supposed to call me today to get this straightend out. This does not leave me with alot of confidence in this hotel. What condition is it currently in ?? Are the new owners reputable ? If I have to switch what would you recommend. Previously we have stayed at: Marriott North, Marriott Marina, Westin, Hyatt 66 , Best Western Marina.
Bequia Posted March 4, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2006 The Ft Lauderdale Grande is owned by the same company that owns Hyatt Pier 66, Bahia Mar, Extended Stay America, Wellsley Inns and for a brief period Amerisuites. It's slated to undergo extensive renovations. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there if they find your reservation. ;)
Krazy Kruizers Posted March 4, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2006 I am not certain if TrentS answers a lot of questions on the weekend. But keep trying. And good luck. Maybe someone else will read this this weekend and know something about this.

Krazy Kruizers Posted March 4, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 4, 2006 Do you have their fax number? If so, you might want to fax them your confirmation letter and number.
