Britannia cruise and stay option.

We have seen a couple of Caribbean cruise deals that include 3/4 night hotel stay in Barbados.  Has anyone booked one with a TA. 
We wondered how the flights would be managed and who the carrier was.   The price seems very good and n one instance cheaper than the advertised fly cruise.

Cruise and stay or stay and cruise is often a good idea when long flights are involved, these can just be a hotel stay or a weeks land based holiday before relaxing on a cruise. We have done this several times but not involving Barbados.

 

You need to check what is included as different operators are more comprehensive than others. There is one operator which appears cheap but all it is is the hotel and the cruise, no overseas transfers. At the other extreme is the fully escorted extension/tour when you are meet at airports etc not merely given travel vouchers and excursions included.

 

A reputable agent should be able to answer your questions?

Who the carrier is, are the flights direct, what is the luggage allowance, what meal package? Travel agents can often book food and luggage cheaper that the public can.

Are transfers to the hotel, ship and airport included and if so will you be met?

What is the hotel and how central is it?

 

Guides may have the company tee shirt on but will be local freelancers who are at your disposal while you are with them. As has already been said if you have a major incident there is no one to take charge, but then very few travel agents / operators that are responsible for the package have a staffer on the ground these days. Touch wood we have not had any problem but the thought of being stranded due to that it must not be mentioned has unnerved us since 2020.

We have just booked this for Feb...4 days in an  all inclusive hotel (one we asked for as we stayed there 3 times)_Flights with Btritish  Airways  (scheduled) with private transfers all round. along with a  Balcony cabin for less than an inside,

Yes although we join it on the 10th.

I should have said...the cruise is on FEB 24th....we fly out on 21st to hotel.

Oh . Wish I'd have acted quicker when they were advertising dates . Haven't seen any further ads of availability
