Celebrity first timer questions

In February we are travelling in the Penthouse Suite on the Infinity to Antarctica. Although I'm an experienced cruiser on a number of other lines, this is my first time on Celebrity and actually my first time on any line in such a high end suite. I've got a number of questions and it would be great if I could find some answers.

A) There are 6 in our group. 4 in the Penthouse and 2 in an adjoining smaller suite. Myself and my wife got promotional rates due to historic casino play on Royal so when we booked we placed my wife in one room and myself in the other.  After we've paid the balance, is it likely they will let us swap who is officially in each room? It's not a deal breaker but would make onboard charging easier as I understand there is more included with the penthouse  and there are more loyalty points awarded.

B) I understand that our suite comes with premium internet and premium drinks included (as well as bottles of our choice for the room) but I seem to remember when we booked it also included all speciality dining at no extra cost. I think the other suite gets all these benefits apart from the speciality dining?

C) We have a $400 per head on board credit. Can this be used in the casino?

Thanks for any answers.

If you used a promo rate for your wife to get that second cabin at a better rate and now you want to officially move her into the Penthouse, they could very well drop the promo rate and switch you back to the full rate. Even after final payment. Yes, Celebrity loyalty program rewards more points for higher class cabins. If you want certain people to be in specific cabins you should have them in there before final payment to avoid any potential changes in cabin rates. Talk to your TA about the best strategy to set everyone up in the correct rooms. If you didn't care about who gets what, you can easily just switch room keys once onboard.

Yes. Celebrity happens to have a full FAQ page for their casinos. Note that Celebrity casinos are non-smoking across the fleet. https://www.celebritycruises.com/faqs/onboard-casinos

You'll want to check with your TA on the terms, but often the 'included perks' are only for the first two guests in the cabin as those promos are designed for double occupancy. We just had that on an NCL booking where a third guest in the cabin did not get the specialty dining included but the first two guests did. It should all be spelled out in your confirmation (probably in small print) but your TA should be able to clarify who is entitled to what perks.

Since you are in the Penthouse and your wife got a promotional rate for the Sky Suite, what I would do is not change your wife's cabin assignment, but instead ask for Access Only extra keys to the Penthouse.   Your wife would use one of those to access the Penthouse,  and sleep there, but get on and off the ship and charge things with her original card. The reason is you seem to have created this scheme to save some money, and if Celebrity tags you in the system, your future offers could be limited. The Butler won't notice or care who sleeps where.  There's also the internal door between the two cabins which is very handy.

By the way, based on your level of play, don't hesitate to ask the casino host to review your bill the last night, and potentially knock some charges off.

I love this suite. Hope you enjoy it and have a great cruise.

no.  If you change who is officially in each room, you start over with new rates.  You can have her occupy your room but not officially.  They will give her an access key for that

You get the points for the cabin you book.

Kingcole I hope you post after you've experienced the PS Suite on Infinity. We will be sailing in it this May and I was wondering if the suite had been updated. Last time I looked was in 2016 and it was still the same (a little dark and outdated). Most of the M Class Penthouses have already been updated.
