Rare mj_holiday Posted November 16, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2022 I am getting nervous since we have a pre-cruise land trip, so we are leaving in two weeks. Got all on line check in complete except for safety video, so just waiting for the next step in the process.
Techno123 Posted November 16, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2022 Keep checking here to see what comes up https://www.rssc.com/voyage-health Can't see any that say they are leaving on the 6th yet although our cruise is there which leaves on the 12th. Are you going somewhere where the regulations might be uncertain so it is taking longer?
mrlevin Posted November 16, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2022 (edited) That cruise would be Cape Town RT which should have a yellow fever vaccination (or letter) required. Both Namibia and South Africa require yellow fever. If you are vaccinated (no booster required) no testing required to enter South Africa. Pcardad Posted November 16, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 16, 2022 Regarding Dec 6 cruise... IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING HEALTH REQUIREMENTS DATE OF ISSUANCE: NOVEMBER 10, 2022 Dear Valued Guest and Travel Partner, We had previously advised that proof of Yellow Fever Vaccination was required for your upcoming cruise, however we have subsequently been informed by local authorities that it is only required if travelling from the following countries (travel includes transit stays that surpass 12 hours): Angola, Argentina, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Colombia, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, French Guyana, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Sudan, Suriname, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, and Venezuela. If this applies to you, please have your Yellow Fever Vaccination documentation available onboard. Proof of Yellow Fever Vaccination consists of an International Certificate Vaccination Card, approved by the World Health Organization. The card states the batch number of the Yellow Fever shot, the dosage, the date of inoculation and the doctor’s stamp. If you are medically unable to receive the Yellow Fever Vaccination, a medical waiver letter may be accepted in some ports. It is ultimately the decision of the local authorities regarding what documentation they choose to review and accept. In the event you do not have proof of a Yellow Fever Vaccination or a medical waiver letter is not accepted you will be required to remain onboard while the ship is in that specific port. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
