Notice from Carnival regarding travel insurance requirement for South Pacific destinations

I recently received an email from Carnival which reads in part:  NOTE:  Guests traveling on a South Pacific cruise that calls on Fiji or New Caledonia (Noumea or Lifou) must present printed proof of travel insurance at time of check-in.  The selected international travel insurance must have both cruise and COVID coverage.

Does anyone know if yearly travel medical insurance (which includes medical evacuation coverage) will meet the requirements?

Which annual plans are you asking about?

And, to be honest, I'd probably be asking this from the broker who sold the policy to you. Their expertise is why they earn that fat commission.

I would be interested in what they have to say though.
