Transportation from Southampton to Heathrow

We’re sailing on the Arcadia in October out of Southampton. Does P&O offer transportation service to Heathrow? If not can anyone give us advice as to how best to get there and typically what time we should expect it to take us to get there. Trying to figure out flights after the cruise to Rome.

I don't think P&O usually offers transfers to Heathrow due to low demand. You can catch coach (National Express).

Definately the cheapest way is National Express coach. https://www.nationalexpress.com/en

The coach station is about a 30 min walk from the Mayflower cruise terminal, so probably worth getting a cab (about £7 and loads at the terminal).

When you look for a booking, you are travelling from  SOUTHAMPTON COACH STATION, HARBOUR PARADE and going to HEATHROW AIRPORT...remember to select the correct terminal. Terminals 4 and 5 have their own drop off outside the terminal. T2 & 3 use the Heathrow Central Bus station which is about a 10-15 easy covered walk from the terminals. Should be around £20 - £25 each.

As already stated, easiest, most direct, quickest, and probably cheapest option is National Express.

An alternative is train to Waterloo then the underground to Heathrow. A hassle on the tube with luggage but you may wish to spend a couple of days in That London.

Now can go Jubilee Line to Bond Street, Elizabeth Line to Heathrow. All should be step-free.

You would still have to change again on the Elizabeth line at Hayes & Harlington or Ealing Broadway.  No services route Reading - Heathrow direct.  Also worth noting that on a weekday the CrossCountry service direct Southampton - Reading is only running every two hours at the moment and doesn't improve much with the timetable change in December.

There is also the Railair link from Woking though only one of the two service each hour on a weekday calls at Woking from Southampton.

We booked our transfer via the P&O website. I wouldn’t do it again. It was expensive in the first place but it cost us more on top of that. We were dumped at a bus stop outside the Marriot hotel. We didn’t have roaming on our phones so weren’t able to call for a cab. We then dragged our cases into the hotel. Our only option was as to ask the hotel to call a cab. They must have a deal with a cab company as when it came it cost us 25 pounds to go 5 minutes down the road. We didn’t have any chose but to pay this. As you can imagine it wasn’t the best way to end our cruise.
