USA - Netherlands world cup match

Hope HAL shows the game on the big screen of its Pinnacle ships. Would be fun seeing the crew root for one side and most passengers rooting for the other. A true orange party hopefully.

We were on the Koningsdam last week.  Was very disappointed that they did not show the NFL games anywhere on the ship except for the casino bar (with a grand total of 8 seats!).  During one of the best football weeks (Thanksgiving), only one game on the screen at the Lido deck—Thursday night game.  Similarly with the World Cup games—no coverage on any tvs in public viewing areas.  Was on the Princess Enchanted a couple of weeks before—NFL and NBA games shown on the big screen as well in different venues throughout the ship.

 

You were able to watch NFL games and soccer matches in your stateroom though.  Just not as fun!  And, as I mentioned to the cruise director, not as profitable for HAL.  We were traveling with a group of people which include some who didn’t have the drink package.  Why would you not want to have those folks watching the games near a bar buying drinks?  Why isolate them in their staterooms where they couldn’t be buying drinks?

No world cup matches being shown on Oosterdam currently. Apparently the company hasn't 'bought the feed'.  It's very disappointing!

You realize most of the crew is not from the Netherlands?
