Manchester Airport security que.

HI all,   has anyone passed through security at terminal 2 at Manchester Airport recently.    we are trying to gauge the time we should arrive at the airport (we are due to cruise from Barbados on Marella Discovery  soon.)   Tui  have sent an  Email check in opens for long haul flights  at least 3 and  a half hours before take off.  Are they still experiencing long delays at security or is it better now.  Any info on this would be appreciated.   Many thanks

Hi gramworld. We flew out of terminal 2 on 7 November for a TUI flight to Gran Canaria. Security was fine but we first had to queue for some time to check in the cases. By that time, there was a huge queue for the restaurant (as we like to have breakfast if we can) so we had to make do with a wrap instead. I would allow 3 hours tbh. Needless to say our flight was delayed. Hope yours is not!

Tui have always recommended 3hrs check in for Caribbean flights, even pre covid. Enjoy 😎

We passed through Manchester in September,  not very long queue.

Many thanks to you all,  3 hours should be ok.  only 18 days till we are out of the cold, cant wait and we will have a great time.  thanks again for the advice.

Hi we travelled out T2 on the 11th November with TUI,

7.15am check in and it took 25 mins, it was fairly busy as a number of flights going out including a delayed flight to Melbourne due to the hurricane a day or two earlier 

On to security and that was 7 mins 🤯🤯🤯🥳

And to be honest I've travelled out 7 times this year and other than Cuba (check in due to checking paper work etc) has been reasonable but could be better.. 

Let's hope when there in jan/feb it'll be seamless like last time.
