I'm at the outside Maltings and think I have found my first favorite bartender. I've had a Pineapple Surplus and then something with Tequila and Midori.

May I also recommend the Eastern Legacy at Maltings? It's my favourite drink on board Norwegian (barring perhaps the Espresso Martini but that's more of a cold weather drink for me).

Oh, I've had that on previous cruises and it is good. I actually just had one.

So after a short nap I went up to Maltings to contemplate where to have dinner.  After an Eastern Legacy (no picture) and a Getaway I checked out the buffet. Shrimp night and butter paneer pulled me in. Then it was time for karaoke in Sid Norman's and Dr. L took care of me throughout the night.

He is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite bartenders. I wouldn't be surprised to see him opening new ships in the future like Bong, Clarence, Romel, and Mary.

Today was Cozumel and I did the Myan Ruins and Tequila Appreciation tour that lasted about 4 hours. It was nice and not too long. I got back on the ship just in time for my scheduled set scrub. That was really nice and now I'm all smooth.

Since I had only eaten breakfast, by the time I was done I was pretty hungry.  I thought I'd go get me some wings and got sat at O'Sheehans. I ordered the Korean BBQ wings and a blue cheese burger.

Looks good, right? Well it was bloody awful.  The wings had soggy skin, not crispy and the tomatoes on the buger were mealy. The fries were cold and old. Maybe it was the time I went but man, I have never left so much food on the table.

I might give it another chance later in the cruise but maybe not.

Question for you! If you get the chance, can you give us an idea of the beer menus at O'Sheehans and Maltings?  We've seen the general NCL list of the usual bottled menu.  My husband  ( Uncle Fanny ,the beer connoisseur😁), is curious about specialties and what's on tap?  Any "local" brews? Smaller breweries represented?  Thanks so much! And only if it's not out of your way. 🍻

Lobster roll from the Ocean Blue window for lunch and a sad Irish coffee. The coffee has to actually be decent for a good drink and this is not.

When I was on the Bliss I heard that if you order an Irish coffee at the atrium bar they actually get the coffee from Starbucks next door. I don’t know if they do that on the Breakaway but it might be worth a shot.

Not much if any from what I can see. The beer list is basically the same for the bars I've been to. I'll see if I can't grab pics of the taps but they only have Stella and Budweiser on tap at the Pourhouse. Here's what they have in cans and bottles there:

If the ship doesn't have the District your kinda shid out of luck on a good variety.

I asked there first and even though it is literally next them on this ship, they said they couldn't and I needed to go up to O'Sheehans. I took an espresso breve up to the Pourhouse last night and Lawrence put a shot of Jameson in it.it was much better then the other one

Started lining up for the beach break at 6:45am before the sun had even come up.

Got to the beach around quarter after 7 as the sun started coming up. It was mostly cloudy and we had some quick showers on and off during the morning.

Had chicken nachos around 9 and a nice massage after. The sun finally came out around 10:30 and it started getting really busy around then too.

What was the name of your excursion?

And, what did you think of the beach and such?

Thanks, Chuck

It was the Beach Getaway and it basically was transportation, a chair, access to a pool and some equipment, and a limited open bar. Food or anything above what was on the drinks list was extra. I enjoyed it, especially since with the $50 excursion credit I had it was only $30.

Forgot to post my other drinks from Dr. L last night.

I'm pretty sure this is one of the drinks on the Sid Norman's list but not sure.

Then this one was also good and pretty sure not on the menu.

And of course can't not have a special fashion with Whistle Pig when in there.

I had the same thing last week on this ship, no Irish coffee in the atrium.
