School Me On St Thomas (Havensight to Trunk Bay St John)

Just found out our itinerary has changed and will be in St Thomas for 11 hours. Instead spending 3-4 hours at Megans Bay we (4) of us want to take the ferry over to St John. Trunk Bay looks very nice. We arrive at 7am and plan to get right off. Assuming taxies are right outside the dock that can take us to Red Hook?

There should be taxis at the dock by the time you get off the ship. IIWY, I would ask other shipmates to share a taxi going to Red Hook. If you can recruit 15+, the taxi may depart immediately instead of waiting for a full load. That way you'll get to the Red Hook ferry terminal quicker.

You can purchase round trip tickets with credit card, but best to be prepared to pay cash, because, well, things happen. Be sure to purchase round trip tickets so you only stand in line on one end.

Taxis will be waiting at St John dock to take you to Trunk. Fares have increased there, too by maybe $2 per person each way. Maybe $8 now? Taxis will be waiting at Trunk to return you to ferry dock. You may want to enjoy a drink or appetizer on St John before you return to the ship since you have so much time in port.

Thanks for the information. We are slated to dock at 7am. Hoping to get off ASAP and get an 8am Ferry
