Where to eat in South Beach?

We are going to be in Miami for a couple days before our February cruise and I am looking for suggestions for an affordable but scenic eatery in South Beach.  We are looking for a place where we can get some delicious fish tacos or other pub foods.  I was thinking we would head to the Versailles restaurant for our first night in Miami.  Please let me know if you have any suggestions.  Thanks 🙂

We always like Smith & Wolensky since it's right on the ship canal at the very south tip of South Beach.  There's always Joe's Stone Crab but getting in there will cost you time and money if at all.  Reservations are a must and usually weeks in advance.  There are too numerous places to mention with sidewalk dining right on Ocean Drive, across from Lummus Park.

Thank you for the suggestion it looks beautiful but I was thinking something much more casual and a little less expensive.  I will try and look into those places across from Lummus park. 🙂

Monty's is our favorite, just a short walk away from the park on the channel.

I just watch Diners, drive-in and dives yesterday he did a South Beach episode.

Sorry can't remember any names but maybe you can google the show. It

was all local very causal places. Not really sure that was helpful.🙃
