Constellation disembark transfer to tampa airport

Has anyone used the cruise transfer to tampa airport recently? It says it departs at 7:30 for the airport. Do they have the people wait in a lounge and all disembark together? Is the luggage all together in the terminal for these people? Or is it already in the bus? Is it realistic to use this service for an 11:45 am flight? Thanks 🙂

Luggage for transfers should have certain numbers and will be grouped in the terminal for pickup.

I'd arrange for a relatively early disembarkation group and just take the $10 shuttle. People will direct you to it when you exit the terminal with your luggage. Smaller vehicles, less time to fill up, less luggage to sort at the airport.

See also the Florida Departures board.

When you give your disembarkation information to guest relations, they assign you a colored luggage tag. Everyone who has purchased transfers will have the same numbers.  You wait in the designated area until your number is called and then you go pick up your luggage and move it to the bus. Sometimes getting from luggage claim to the bus isn’t well organized but if you can get a porter, that really helps and is worth the money to tip him/her

We easily walked off at Tampa, Uber met us outside in the lot and we were at the airport for our 10am flight - less expensive for the two of us and no waiting for the bus to fill.  Airport is less than 10 miles away and traffic should not be bad heading that direction.  You are the only ship at the pier so much less congested than FLL or MIA.

We are currently in. TPA awaiting our flight home.  We used the Celebrity shuttle.  We were given luggage tags based on the time the shuttle departs.  The driver has a manifest of who is supposed to be on the shuttle.  So if you’re looking for something organized, this works.

Thanks so much for this info 🙂 What time is your flight and what time did you get to the airport? Their flight is 11:40 on Delta

If you are renting a car from TPA, take a taxi to the rental car location direct.  We made the mistake taking the shuttle outside the pax terminal.  They only take you to the airport.  From there you have to schlep your luggage thru the airport to the tram station, up the elevator, wait for tram to rental car co-location, down elevator, then search for your rental agency.  Even if it costs a few dollars more, take a taxi or uber direct to the rental car area.

Our flight wasn’t until 4 pm.  Our shuttle was scheduled for 9:15.  There was one earlier shuttle.  It’s a 20 minute drive, but first you have to clear US Customs.  We got to the airport sometime after 10 am.

their flight is at 11:40?  That’s a problem for the shuttle.  We were told they didn’t provide service for flights before noon.
