Flight Ease access

We haven’t cruised on HAL for many years. We are very familiar with accessing flights through Princess. When can you actually see what flights are available? Do you have to book the cruise first before seeing flights? We are looking at a last minute cruise where the final payment date has passed. Would we have to pay for the cruise before seeing available flights? Thank you.

Unfortunately, HAL is not easy like Princess in this regard.  One way to see the flights is put the cruise on HOLD.  This is an option at the end of the booking process.  It will ask you if you would like to make payment or put on HOLD.  This will give you a booking number and in turn you will use this number to check on flights.  Otherwise I think the only option would be to call Flight Ease.  Personally, I would put the cruise on hold, obtain booking number and check website.  I hope this helps.

HAL recently sent me an email recommending I book my flights through them. Is there any actual advantage to doing this?

For myself I got an incredible BC(Polaris) fare coming home from Amsterdam in June after a TA...under $1400 one way.  It has been ticketed and it is a done deal.

We have found it cheaper to book through FlightEase. You get the air booking number and the airline locator number and can see everything on the airline website

Did you request early ticketing?  When do they normally ticket?  Our flight is a one way after TA in April.  After airline changes to flights, the information hasn't flowed back to Flightease.  Record locator is correct on American's site.

Yes, I requested early ticketing.  I am on a complimentary casino cruise and it requires payment in full at time of booking of Flight Ease.  So, in turn figured since I am paying in full will also have it ticketed.  It is a common United flight route so felt comfortable doing this.  As routine, I check my reservation daily.  Another reason I requested early ticketing is MY OBSERVATION lately is the cruise lines are waiting too long to pay airline and some have lost their reservations.  I believe typically the cruise line pays airline around day 60.

I'm leaving February 1st and I noticed my flight was ticketed December 18th.  I have no idea if that is typical or not though.

I'm a United MileAge Plus member. Is it possible to use frequent flier points when booking through FlightEase?

I have never seen a space in Flight Ease for paying with points.  But then - you don't pay for the flights until you pay for your cruise.
