When does specialty dining become available?

With all of the talk and new MDR/OVC menus being posted (ughhh).  When will I be able to book specialty dining for my cruise?  How far out do they allow this?  I used to be able to book years out and book specialty dining.  Now I am at 11 months and it says check back later.

 

Is specialty dining still rather good?

I can book reservations for my November cruise on tge Edge but not our January Ascent sailing.

 

What ship are you on.

Millenium December.  Perhaps I just need to wait another month?

Is specialty dining still good.  The Millennium only has Tuscan, Le Petit Chef and  Sushi on 5.

We have had good luck in the past with the filet in Tuscan but not with the rib eye or any of the pasta dishes. We only go there on the M class since there are few options.

 

We have done LPC twice.  Went the 2nd time because we were traveling with a friend who wanted to go.  For us it was a 1 and done.  Food was good, not great. we just didn’t care for the structured set-up-  everyone is served the 1st course at the same time, then that is cleared away and everyone gets the next course, and repeat.  So not a leisurely meal, where you can take a few minutes between courses or linger over a glass of port after dinner.

There are some that love it, just not us.
