Can OBC be used to provide extra gratuities?

We have our first sailing on MSC this weekend—trying out YC on Divina for a three-night cruise.

We most frequently sail on Celebrity, and on X we are able to request a form at Guest Services to use our OBC to provide extra gratuities for various staff.  Is this possible on MSC?  I want to make sure we have enough cash on hand if not.

Since MSC officially does not encourage tipping individual employees, they most likely do not offer that option (I've never tried it).  We just turn OBC into cash through the casino and tip cash to crew.  I think it odd that MSC discourages tipping, but guest services and the concierge desk will gladly provide small envelopes to guests!😉

Thank you!  We aren’t gamblers… do you know if can you do a cash out in the casino without playing?

Another question, Celebrity will refund TA OBC to our credit card on file.  Would you know if MSC does that, or should we just plan on doing some shopping? 😃

Yes.  May have to risk betting a dollar.  Easiest way to pick up $200, say is to put your card in a slot machine, open an account for $200, then "cash" out.  Take the slip to the cashier and get cash.

On the other question, it depends on the kind of OBC you get.  If it is from MSC, I think it is use it or lose it.  If it is from you TA, you may be able to get that back.  Someone who gets a lot of OBC can chime in.
