Specialty restaurant reservations for 12?

This was 2019 so not sure if it still applies. We also had a group of 12. We had to book one party of 8 and one party of four with a notation that we wanted to dine as a group. Checked our reservation as soon as we boarded and we were a table of 12. I don’t understand why they had to do it this way, but they did and it worked.

Try Chops for lunch. Not busy at that time and the cost is less. They should be able to put tables together for you....just ask ahead of time. Don't just make a reservation and then show up. The staff at Chops might not know exactly what you want. Go talk to them in person before the event.

On the cruise planner book eight and four or six and six all for the same time.  Then go in first thing and make sure they join them up.  That's what we did on Wonder for 150 CP for Thanksgiving dinner.  I had to flex the time by 30 minutes but they made it work.
