Vancouver..what to do with time between getting off ship and late air schedule

Arriving into Vancouver after a Princess Alaskan cruise, but the best air schedule doesn't depart until 11 pm that night.  What recommendations does anyone have as to what to do for that long time period in the afternoon and evening.  We will have our cruise luggage with us, so can’t really just walk around.  Maybe just best to go to the airport and wait it out?

We dropped our bags with the valet at the Pan Pacific which is the hotel at Canada Place Terminal. They are located inside near the street entrance. After storing the bags we went to Stanley Park as well as Granville Island Public Market.   You might consider a rental with an entire day to explore. There's a lot to do in Vancouver.

Don't go to the airport too early - YVR has a pretty firm policy about not checking bags early so you won't be able to get through Security until at least 7pm. While YVR is a great airport by North American standards there still isn't remotely enough stuff to do to entertain yourselves all day.

Stash bags as Glaciers says - after that, well what kind of things do you like to do? As long as it's not just Opera and Broadway shows you love there should be multiple possibilities you will enjoy visiting/doing, we're a pretty big city with a whole mess of options... TripAdvisor 'what is best' lists are an excellent general starting point for Joe Q Publics average opinion, and if you have specific questions that's where these boards excel.

We are researching this same thing...We have found other places to store our suitcases near the pier, but wonder if anyone else has had any experience with other places.  We are going to get rail/bus day passes and explore on our own.
