Anchorage

Just wondering if anyone who has sailed Alaska to Anchorage, have stayed in Anchorage and done any tours for a few days?

Either that or stayed in Seattle for a few days.

We are looking at doing some private tours and accommodation.Thankyou..

Aug 2021 we stayed a few days in Seattle. We stayed at the Marriott Water front hotel. The pier that Celebrity(Pier 66) was using at that time was across the street so we walked off to the hotel. We walked to  the famous Pike market from the hotel.We did use a cab to go to Chihuly Gardens( up hill walk if you want to walk there) which is next to the space needle and a museum.  The hotel arranged a town car to get us to the airport at a great price(Ithink around $60 for the 2 of us).

Our Alaska cruise on Princess was way back when -- June 1990. But I do remember that we arrived in Anchorage perhaps a day or two before our cruise and enjoyed visiting the town.  They had (have?)  a lovely art museum. But we didn't do any touring out of town as far as I can remember.
