Luggage Forward - Island Princess

We used Luggage Forward to ship bags to the Island Princess for the World Cruise. UPS picked them up at our home and the next time we saw them was in our cabin on January 19. We were able to track them from pickup to delivery. Unfortunately we had to medically disembark the cruise in Honolulu. We checked into a hotel, left our luggage and went immediately to the hospital. I called Luggage Forward to cancel the arrangements for the end of the cruise in Fort Lauderdale and ask if the luggage could be picked up at our hotel. the customer service was excellent and the luggage was picked up on Monday, 3 pieces delivered to our home 2 days later and an oversized bag delivered on Friday. The luggage almost beat us home. We couldn’t have been happier with the service. Our case manager at the hospital had never heard of this service and was happy to keep it in mind since the hospital, unfortunately, gets lots of tourists. It certainly simplified getting home not to worry about luggage for a world cruise.

Good to know.

So glad you two are home.  Hoping DH is recovering quickly.

That is good to know. I read somewhere else that when they had to medically disembark, the service wasn't available in that port to ship home.

Glad it worked out well for you!

I hope your husband is recovering comfortably back home!

If I remember correctly - this was an expensive service last time I looked into it. Maybe with all the baggage fees, it may no longer seem that expensive.

Thank you. My husband is doing well. Rest  is the big thing now. Luggage Forward is expensive but so worth it in this case. I can’t imagine picking up luggage at the airport. We were told that the luggage couldn’t be picked up at the port, but there was no problem with the hotel.
