Inthebubble Posted February 4, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2023 We will be sailing Scenic Eclipse II soon, and wonder how to make reservations for the dining venues which require them.

As soon as you board the ship go over to Koko's on Deck 4 and there will be someone there to help you make your reservations for your cruise. 2SailingNomads Posted February 6, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2023 I second that, we had no issues getting reservations. Great food and crew!!
Katstress Posted March 10, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2023 Hello In the Bubble! Glad you asked the question, I was wondering the same thing, as we are also taking a cruise on Scenic Eclipse II. September of this year. Never too early to start planning! I’m very much looking forward to experiencing such a new ship.

ckcruise Posted May 30 #7 Share Posted May 30 We are sailing on Scenic Eclipse in November. Just wondering if there is any hurry to board the ship on embarkation day to make dinner reservations? Or is there plenty of opportunity for everyone to get their choices. Thanks in advance...it is our first time sailing Scenic ocean cruises. Katstress Posted May 30 #8 Share Posted May 30 Honestly, it depends on a few factors, how full the ship is, how many evenings you have, and which restaurants you want. The smallest, Night Market, only holds eight, so if fewer nights, and more people, that requires a reservation ASAP. We found no rush for Lumiere, in fact ate there twice, booking both later in the trip. I am not a Sushi fan, so initially we did not book, but I was convinced to try it, and had no issue getting a reservation. I’m glad we did, as I enjoyed it. Get there a few minutes early so you can sit at the bar and watch the Sushi chef in action! There were plenty of cooked options, although I did try some raw tuna and yellowtail. Sorry to not be more definite, but nights and number of passengers do affect the answer. I truly enjoyed our time onboard, and hope you do as well! I am taking another cruise in September, and very much looking forward to it.
ckcruise Posted June 25 #9 Share Posted June 25 Thanks for your reply. Our sailing in November is sold out so I imagine there will be some competition for reservations especially in the smaller restaurants. Our travel agent told us that to keep things fair, reservations can't be made till everyone is onboard. In an earlier post on this thread, Carol from California said that reservations can be made at Koko's as soon as you board. Just wondering which is true? Katstress Posted June 25 #10 Share Posted June 25 On our trip they set a time and location to make reservations on embarkation day, they told me the time and location when checking in. We made all restaurant reservations there, in this case it was done by the Restaurant Manager in Lumiere. After embarkation day, you could check with your butler, or each restaurant to see what was available. It did not seem they waited for everyone to board, but I honestly could be wrong. We could start making reservations at 2 pm. I really like Scenic, but I will say getting accurate information is not the easiest, and from what you report, it might run differently at times. Even so, I still think you will have an amazing time.
ckcruise Posted July 4 #11 Share Posted July 4 Thanks Katstress. It may be that restaurant reservations are handled differently depending on how full the sailing is. I'm hoping we will get more concrete information closer to embarkation.
