This is the second time in 30 day that the ship was delayed due to fog.  The port authority closed the port so it was not Celebrity's fault.

However, it makes me start to wonder if Tampa is a viable cruise port.

I cruised out of Tampa 11.05.2022 ... without delay in departure.  We returned 7 days later ... no delay.

Fog is much more common this time of the year than in November.

TAMPA, Fla. — What is sea fog and why is it so dangerous to the marine community?

Sea fog can form at a moment's notice, leading to near zero visibility. It occurs most often during the winter and spring months and has been responsible for several ship wrecks and incidents over the years.
