Hello! On the Celebrity Ascent,  the Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms have a mini refrigerator but it says it costs extra. I don't want it stocked, I want it empty so I can put my soda inside. Does anyone know how much extra it would be?

You can ask your stateroom attendant to empty for you.    You would then have to stock it yourself by picking up drinks at the bars.      There is no fee to empty it.

Ok, thanks! I plan on bringing soda on board, and perhaps some bottled water- this is allowed, right?

Yes you are permitted to bring reasonable amounts and could also top up in port.

Sometimes our attendant puts everything in a pillowcase and hides it under the bed!😂

They hate to mess with it, but my guess is most people ask them to empty the frig.  Under the bed is a great place for it.  😃

On EQ two weeks ago the cooler was empty, I was surprised by that, first time it's been empty.  I just assumed they stopped doing mini cooler sales.

Good to know.  I expect they were getting asked to empty far more often than they were making sales.

It's good to ask them to empty it.  That way everything is accounted for.  As mentioned, it costs nothing to do so.
