Can you use the ship wifi to text others on the ship without buying the internet package. We are on the Voyager in June.

They have a chat feature  but on our iPhones we don’t get notifications, we need to look in th app

You can use the Royal Caribbean APP to message others onboard, text/sms will require internet.

Yes, you do not need to purchase the WiFi package to use the app for text messaging other passengers or to use the Daily Planner.  You will not receive a notification that you have received a text message, I believe someone said they were able to set it up but most people have said you cannot receive notifications.
