Atlanta to Tokyo departing early afternoon

I’ll be flying to Tokyo from Atlanta mid June.  The flight departs Atlanta at 13:00 hours so I’m assuming most of the 14 flight could be in daylight.  Would one side of the plane be better than the other to avoid direct sunlight?

The route will be northwesterly up towards Canada and Alaska. Then southwest towards Japan. I bet there will be darkness at some point, but the starboard (right side) of the plane will have less sun.
