ATXChips Posted March 13 #126 Share Posted March 13 I, too, have previously had issues getting the Shareholder benefit with steeply-discounted casino rates. But, mine went through on this one. I don't think my rate for this one was as steeply-discounted as on previous trips. But, your actual booking rate code might be different. I know there were several casino rates available when my agent booked for me. Good luck.
aonebtd Posted March 13 #127 Share Posted March 13 I submitted it once again just to see if it would go through. I still think it's kind of weird that they can pick and choose which rates they'd like to honor with this perk. I've still got more than my money's worth out of it from sailing with Princess, but it'd be great if I could get some use out of the Carnival cruises I take, too.

I'm greatly displeased with the implementation of the "StockPerks App", there have been no changes to the Carnival official written policy, no changes to the old fax/email proof of ownership to which ever cruise company subsidiary where the cruise booking was made. Yet this roll out of requiring shareholders to exclusively use a third party App is not secure and here is the privacy kicker StockPerks has a paid subscription service called Crunchbase to sell our financial, personal, travel data to their subscribers because we have "voluntarily provided" it and that gives them license to make money on any SBCredit info we provide. CarlasAdventure Posted March 14 #129 Share Posted March 14 We just booked and will be joining you. Got a great last minute price. Anyone have info on shore excursions? Not many available on the carnival site. Have any meet and greets been set up?
aonebtd Posted March 15 #130 Share Posted March 15 I again got denied for the shareholder benefit. I'm just giving up on this sailing even though it's a large amount. I've never been successful in getting it on a casino discount fare even though I was just able to get it on a 14-day Princess journey that I got on a casino promotion two days ago. You win some, you lose some.
MGBark Posted March 18 #131 Share Posted March 18 We are Joining the Brisbane to Seattle cruise on the Luminosa. Maybe I missed it, but does anybody know about a "Meet and Greet"? As for other subjects, don't know the weather in Brisbane and Guam, but we have had lots of rain in April in Japan and Alaska, so be sure you have a rain coat. Gloves and a scarf for going on deck in Alaska and layers to fit the changing weather. As for the Shareholders credit, I've found that to be a 50/50 shot when traveling on a Casino rate. Sometimes you get it and sometimes not. I have never dealt with this new 3rd party website when asking for the credit, so I'm not sure if it will go through or not. See you on board, Michael and Karen
kangforpres Posted March 20 #132 Share Posted March 20 FYI, I checked in for the cruise today and the website says it ends on May 2. It ends on May 2 Australian calendar, but May 1 US calendar. -Paul

You can't get out of the on board daily gratituty fee. My Carnival Cruise consultant who I booked with advised to remember to pay in advance so it doesn't come as sticker shock on May 1. We stop in a few Alaskan ports before Seattle and you can get USD out of ATM's there. You luggage question?? I think you might have to lug it to SEA and check it in for your HNL flight. Hope this helps, Paul Hello You are allowed to adjust the gratuities while on board. Please see communcation sent today. Can't wait to get on the ship. Does anyone of recommendations for excursions outside of Carnival? Thanks!

Just booked a couple of days ago, and very excited about this adventure exploring Japan for the first time, and when the cherry trees will be in bloom no less, and returning to wonderful Alaska, on a really lengthy cruise- FUN! I will be on the Luminosa first time prior to this in February and March, I’ll already be accustomed to the ship and crew, and booking a casino comped balcony offer was an easy decision as I was already in the region and making my way to the US afterwards. Making the most of the long flight from my home now in France to Australia, via a pit stop cruise from Singapore. Solo cruising on this one, and looking forward to making new cruising friends along the way. Any solos wanting to meet up for dinner, please let me know, had great fun solo tables on past cruises, meeting great people along the journey. Also, any card games, or other board games and such, please let me know! I will subscribe to the guest chat in the Carnival app aboard to make things happen easily, would love to be included on sea days in the afternoon. Cheers! Aimée ( pronounced A-May) I am travelling solo and would be interested in tours/cards etc. Is there a place scheduled for a meet up? One roll call group a woman brought beads and we met at a particular bar at a particular time. Great idea. Thanks

One roll call group a woman brought beads and we met at a particular bar at a particular time. Great idea. Thanks Hi, there are tours independently organized for every port at this time and most fully booked, and a solo travel meet and greets and flexible time solo diner set up, as well as a early fixed one, and also games activities, but they are all organized on other social media online groups like fb for this cruise. A simple search in a popular social media app with the date and name of ship will get you all that information. I can’t copy all that here! And it’s not allowed to link to them . There are 4 such groups, but get to the ones that have over 590 members and go to the EVENTS tab and you’ll get everything you need there. There is also a Solo traveler group for it, over 100 members, just search same way with « solo travelers » added in search bar. Specifically , The Solo traveler group meet and greet is on first sea day , April 2 in Atrium bar @ 3 pm. So if you don’t find the groups online, you can get all the solo traveler info showing up there. cheers to solo cruising Aimée
