Hot Water Bottles For A Cold Bed?

My wife can't sleep unless she has a heated blanket but you can't bring that on a cruise.  Does anybody know if they have hot water bottles on the ship?

Unlikely as it is a health and safety issue. A risk of burns if the bottle or plug fails.

However my wife who also needs a warm bed finds that the heavy doona that they have causes her to awake in a hot sweat and has to throw it off for a while to cool down.

Can't you take your own and ask for a large jug of boiling water from room service at bedtime? By the time it gets to you it should be an appropriate temp for the HWB 😁

I saw a hot water bottle on the top of a trolley in the corridor on the Dawn only a couple of weeks ago.

I asked on one occasion but cannot remember if it was on SS or Oceania.  Was given the safety reason for not having them.   Always pack one now as it helps if I have a bad back

I never understand why cruise lines wont let you use a heated pad ...they have safety cut outs etc
