Solo travelers do we pay gratuities for two people?

Since the cabins are based on double occupancy do solo travelers have to pay gratuities for two people as well.

No - you only pay for yourself. I have often given my room steward a little bit more, mostly because they have been outstanding.

Port fees, taxes, and tips are per person.  When you go alone the fare is a bit less than double the fare advertised for double occupancy.   (IF you get a package - like Plus, it is per person too).

(But you get 2 captains circle credits, getting you to Elite Status a bit faster!)

My partner did a 1-day cruise alone and got credit for two whole cruises.  I don't see any more 1-day ones on their website, though.  Quick way to Elite!
