Cruisefirst certificate on a third party booking ?

Hello all,

 

If I buy a cruisefirst certificate on NCL's site, can I book a cruise with a third party and still use the certificate for that booking ?

I have a current reservation for the Prima in October, can I purchase a CruiseFirst certificate now and apply that amount to my final payment due in June?  Thank you in advance.
