If the cannery is located in Port Edward which I think it is - the local bus #60 goes there but it is a very limited service that doesn't run on Sunday or holidays so whether you would have time to fit in a visit and make it back to the ship on time is uncertain.

Here's a link to the bus info: https://www.bctransit.com/prince-rupert/schedules-and-maps/alerts?route=60 - this is a better one:https://www.bctransit.com/prince-rupert/schedules-and-maps.

We’ll be visiting Prince Rupert for the first time this May.  I’ve downloaded a self-guided walking tour.  We’d like to visit a couple of museums (Northern BC, the railroad) as well as get a bite to eat at Dolly’s.

I’ve also heard visiting the cannery is a must—I want to check into the public bus option for our July visit.
