Current cruise director / entertainment on Equinox

Hi Everyone,

Booked on Equinox last week in May.

Does anyone know who the cruise director is ?
Any information on the current musicians. / entertainment  ?

The Daily Planner shows activities, available excursions, shows in the theater, movies, and locations where each entertainment group will be playing. Each day is listed. Hit the Refresh button often to bring up changes that may have been made.

Just off the equinox yesterday.

 

For musical acts in the theatre, we had a Nashville guitarist and a lady who did impressions.

 

There was also a magician/hypnotist and a comedy act.

 

The shows were Topper, Elysium, and Life 

 

And a cabaret show one night.

 

The celebrity orchestra was the best I’d seen at sea. Kudos to them. The shows themselves were hit or miss. The Nashville guy was great, if not a little cheesy.

 

Around the boat it was mostly cover bands. There was also a string duet that did classical music.

Lewis, a younger charismatic guy from the UK. Didn’t see him much around the boat outside of the nightly show. Seemed like a nice enough guy.

Typical of CD's-- I love the first night introduction :

Bounces out on stage-- all excited--- 
" Anyone here from ? -- the crowd goes crazy when he mentions Canada ,or, or.

" Put your hands together for XXX who are celebrating their xx--- the crowd goes wild ( again ) and there is a murmur in the audience ( Hey, that's great--- 12000 cruises with Celebrity--- ya think that's real gold on that medallion ? )

" We have exceptional entertainment for you--- XYZ a fabulous ventriloquist ( insert name ) came All The Way from to entertain you, Plus , and Also , etc etc.

" Don't forget to check your Daily Activity for the Art auction and the upcoming Port Specials "

Runs off stage-- never see him/her until the next night where he/she introduces every %$#%^&^ Staff member -- and, finally---- the Captain of the vessel ( real loud cheer ) who toasts the audience ( Calm seas, great food, good luck in the casino, and don't forget the art auction and the port specials exclusive for this cruise ).

I have experienced different levels of interaction and energy from different cruise directors over the years, the last time we were on the Equinox in November of 2022 the cruise directors’s name was Eddie . We thought he did a great job throughout the cruise 🚢 with the shows all over the ship as well as the activities. He was a high energy person and I will honestly say his efforts had a very positive effect on Our cruise not only for us , but for the majority of people we heard commenting around the ship.

I enjoyed Lewis, especially his determination to embarass the folks in the crowd that insisted on rushing out of the theater the second the show/musical act was finished.  Althought, it did get a little old towards the end of the cruise.
