Back-to-Back Processing Time? How long does it take?

How long does Azamara usually take to process the back-to-back passengers, specifically in Barcelona?  Our private tour operator wants to start early and I'm just not sure how long it'll take to get through the back-to-back formalities.  We've done B2Bs on two other cruise lines just in the past year but the time it took really varied.  Is it a disorganized mess with Azamara or a quick process?
Thanks for the help!

I'm not quite certain what you mean exactly, but we have always been checked into the new/current room the day before the 2nd trip. If you have to change rooms, they will do it for you. You pack your loose stuff, leave everything that's hanging, and they will take care of it the morning of Journey #2. There is a meeting of the B2B folks the day before, usually you will get your key at that time, which will need validation at passenger relations sometime on departure day. Your tour operator may want to start early, you have to be on board 90' before sailing. As for disorganized mess, never had a problem and no one is reporting any problems with their cruises. The disorganized mess seems to be limited to their website. Hope this helps.

not disorganized at all!  The day before the first cruise ends, there will be a meeting for all b2b guests.  at that time, you'll receive your new key card and be able to make any dining reservations you want and also buy your beverage package if you like.  The next morning, you'll be asked to go to security at the door and check out with your old card; at that time, you'll activate your new card.  Let the desk know that you need to do it as early as possible in order to meet your tour.  They've always been very accomodating for us 🙂

Are you asking about when you go to the Cabaret lounge on the last morning, we had the 9.15 slot. You take your new cards with you, have your picture taken again , sign for your account. Then hand over your old card to a temporary security desk and then they scan your new one.?

We did this last week in Civitavecchia 12-15 minutes max.

We have done numerous B2B's with Azamara.

You cannot "check in" for the second cruise before all guests from the first cruise have checked out.

But, if you want to do a tour, you can "check out" of the first cruise as soon as the ship has been cleared and meet your guide.

Remember to take your keycard for the second cruise with you!

Check in" for the second cruise after your tour, making sure you return by the required time prior to sailing.

Enjoy!
